Is it possible to farm Bright Dust in Destiny 2? If so, which activities are the best to farm Bright Dust? Is crafting Bright Dust the only way to farm Bright Dust? Is farming Bright Dust the best way to farm Bright Dust? Is farming Bright Dust the fastest way to farm Bright Dust? We have the answers in this in-depth farming guide.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Destiny 2 reveal event at Bungie. During the event, Bungie brought up the question of farming Bright Dust. Some of the answers received at the event were confusing for many members of the Destiny 2 community, so I thought I would make a quick list of the fastest farming methods, along with how much Bright Dust they yielded. I am new to Destiny 2, so I am not sure if these answers are correct, but I do hope they help you. I recently started playing the game and my playstyle is aggressive, so I believe these answers will help you in your farming endeavors.

With Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion launching later this week, players are looking for every possible way to get Bright Dust, the game’s new currency. Below are the most efficient methods per difficulty level.

Some of the finest cosmetics in Destiny 2 may be found in the Eververse. Killer Seasonal Ornaments, one-of-a-kind Ghost Shells, strange and elegant Sparrows, amusing Finishers, and weapon skins are just a few of the options. While the majority of them need real-world money in the form of Silver, some may be bought using Destiny 2’s Luminous Dust, an unlocked currency.

So, if you have enough Bright Dust, you may be able to buy anything at the store you’ve had your eye on. Here’s all you need to know about Bright Dust in Destiny 2 and how to harvest it.

In Destiny 2, what is Bright Dust?

Bright Dust is one of Destiny 2’s most precious currencies, enabling you to buy certain Eververse goods. It’s much more difficult to get than upgrade resources like Glimmer or Legendary Shards.

It can only be used to buy cosmetic goods and does not convert to Silver (Destiny 2’s real-world currency). Bright Dust cannot be purchased; instead, it must be earned, and whatever quantity you have is tied to your Bungie account. This means you won’t be able to give or transfer Bright Dust to other players. If you have several characters on the same account, though, you may share your Bright Dust across them.

The list of available goods that may be bought using Bright Dust, like most things in the Eververse, changes on a regular basis. A small number of daily and weekly goods rotate in and out of the store on a regular basis. The following are the kinds of goods available in the Bright Dust area of the Eververse.

Items that may be consumed

If you’re looking for a quick way to get more resources, consider purchasing consumable boost products. These consumables range in price from 200 to 500 Bright Dust. Every week, two products from the following list will be offered in the shop:

  • Upgrade Modules may be obtained by defeating bosses with a concentrated mattergem.
  • After successfully executing a Strike, the Fireteam gets a Gleaming Boon of the Vanguard.
  • After successfully finishing a Crucible match, Fireteam gets a Gleaming Boon of the Crucible.
  • Glimmershard: Destroyed bosses may be used to generate a Glimmer shower.
  • Scavenger’s Blessing: Earn planetary resources by defeating opponents with precise damage.

Items for Cosmetics

A rolling list of potential choices makes up the remainder of the 10-item lineup. In general, you may anticipate:

  • Shaders (at least 3–4)
  • 1 Effect of Transmat
  • 1 projection of a ghost
  • 1 Exotic or Legendary Armor Ornament
  • 1 Ornament for an Exotic Weapon
  • 1 Exotic or Legendary Sparrow
  • 1 fabled or exotic ship
  • 1 Emote that is rare, legendary, or exotic
  • 1 Exotic or Legendary Ghost Shell

You may anticipate to spend between 40–3,350 Bright Dust for a particular piece of gear, depending on its rarity and how fresh it is. Most Legendary goods cost between $300 and $800, whereas Exotics may cost several thousand dollars. Just keep an eye out on the Weekly Item and Bright Dust pages to see what’s new each week.

In Destiny 2, how can you get Bright Dust?

The methods for farming Bright Dust have been simplified as of Season of the Chosen. There used to be a wider range of methods to earn modest quantities of Bright Dust, but now just a few actions may earn you more. This increase was made to compensate for the absence of Weekly Bounties from merchants, which would normally reward players with approximately 150 Bright Dust when finished.

In Destiny 2, there are a variety of ways to acquire Bright Dust.

5. Submit your Bright Engrams

Bright Engrams are randomized drops that allow you access to goods that are no longer accessible in the Eververse. They also have a very tiny possibility of gifting you a Bright Dust bundle worth between 250 and 1,000. This isn’t so much a farming technique as it is something to be mindful of when turning in Bright Engrams.

To begin with, the chances of obtaining a Bright Engram are already slim. They’re usually earned through leveling up your Season Pass to certain tiers or for every five Tiers after you’ve maxed out your Season Pass. Aside from that, your odds of obtaining a Bright Engram are entirely arbitrary. Even more uncommon is actually rolling any Bright Dust, so you’ll probably have to turn in tens of thousands of Engrams before you see any Bright Dust.

4. Finish Up Your Season Pass

Since Season of the Chosen, the quantity of Bright Dust available in your Season Pass has risen. There are much more chances to earn Bright Dust and reach a Rank, and the bundles in each reward are considerably more substantial. Now, much as with the Season Pass, owning the premium edition will reward you extra Bright Dust.

If you reach Rank 100 with a Season Pass, you’ll receive about 10,500 coins, while free gamers would get around 7,500. Here are the Ranks to keep an eye out for, as well as the amount of Bright Dust you’ll earn:

Rank Bright Dust
9 a hundred (Free)
19 250 words (Free)
29 a hundred (Free)
30 a thousand (Paid)
40 a thousand (Free)
50 a thousand (Free)
60 650 words (Free)
70 a thousand (Free)
78 a thousand (Paid)
80 a thousand (Free)
90 a thousand (Free)
96 1200 people (Paid)
100 2,000 words (Free)

Just make sure you gather all of the Bright Dust you’ve unlocked before each Season ends. If you manage to miss any, you may still collect your previous Season’s prizes on While they’re a fantastic safety net, we suggest getting them as soon as they’re unlocked to avoid the long procedure.

3. Take on Bounties That Can Be Repeated

Daily Bounties are available from each Playlist Vendor, which you may try to fulfill within 24 hours after purchasing. While this list of four Bounties will vary every day when the game is reset, they also provide Repeatable Bounties. These are randomized Bounties that cost a little extra but reward you with 10 Bright Dust as well as CP.

You may only retain five of these from a single vendor at a time, and they must be fulfilled within 24 hours, much like the Daily Bounties. You can always go back and get more if you finish the five you have, making this a consistent method to earn modest quantities of Bright Dust.

2. Complete the Vendor Challenges each week.

Vendors have weekly tasks that you may accomplish for them as well. The majority of the time, this included fulfilling eight Bounties, but there are outliers, such as The Stranger. After completing these tasks, you will get a piece of Tier 1 Powerful Gear. You’ll also get 120 Bright Dust from Zavala, Shaxx, and the Drifter.

Each week, you may expect to receive 360 Bright Dust if you complete the weekly challenge for all three Vendors. Because these tasks are character-specific, you may earn more by completing them with all three characters. That implies you may earn 1,080 Bright Dust per week with a little effort. Oh, and Repeatable Bounties count, so you may as well acquire a few more while you work your way through these tasks.

1. Completing Seasonal Challenges is a must.

While Seasonal Challenges are only issued once a week, the quantity of Bright Dust you get is definitely worth the wait. This was the second way that was juiced in recent seasons, similar to the Season Pass. Depending on the overall complexity of the task, you may expect to receive between 75 and 300 Bright Dust. You may expect to receive approximately 10,000 Bright Dust in a given Season if you complete all Seasonal Challenges that award Bright Dust.

There are other advantages to completing more Seasonal Challenges. You will get an extra big bundle of Bright Dust if you finish the whole week. In addition, completing 75 Seasonal Challenges will win you a Large Bright Dust pile. On top of everything else you’ve earned, this will offer you another 4,000 Bright Dust. While we don’t know how many Challenges will be offered this season, you can anticipate to have to accomplish almost all of them in order to get his prize.

Finally, certain Seasonal Challenges will persist if you do not complete them in time. Although not all of them will give you Bright Dust, it’s worth checking the Past Season Challenges menu just in case.

Bright Dust is an uncommon yet valuable currency that allows you to maintain a constant supply of fresh cosmetics in your inventory without having to transfer money. Share this post on your favorite social media sites to help your Fireteam earn enough Bright Dust to buy that item in the store they’ve had their eye on.
