After the release of Patch 11.16, Riot Games has announced the release of Patch 11.17 for League of Legends on the 14th of September, which includes the much awaited Crime City update. Riot Games describes the Crime City update as “A new, free expansion that brings an all-new game mode, Champion, and more,” and it is expected to be released for all regions on the 14th of September.
With the release of Patch 11.17, League of Legends is now firmly in the middle of its Summer Split, which means that Riot Games is more or less in the middle of making its big changes to the game. After all, the contentious All Chat option is still getting some tweaks, as are a few other tweaks that have been floating around since last year.
Riot Games have announced a new patch for the popular MOBA game, League of Legends. The new patch, which is set to release on 23rd October, will bring new mastery pages, balance changes, visual updates, as well as “a few quality of life improvements”.

Patch 11.17 for League of Legends is on its way to the PBE for a two-week test period. Players will be able to receive a first peek at the MOBA’s newest cosmetics as well as future balancing and system improvements during this period.

In League of Legends Patch 11.17, there are eight new skins for current champions, divided into two lines this time. Crime City Nightmare Akali (1350 RP), Crime City Nightmare Darius (1350 RP), Crime City Nightmare Shaco(1350 RP), Crime City Nightmare Twisted Fate (1350 RP), Crime City Nightmare Zyra (1350 RP), Divine Phoenix Anivia, Graceful Phoenix Seraphine, and Brave Phoenix Xayah are all available on the PBE.
The turnarounds below depict each character model, providing a fair sense of the earlier skin line’s mafia-inspired concept and the latter skin line’s more fantasy-driven emphasis.
Closer to launch, the LoL 11.17 maintenance plan is always released. Patches are often distributed across several areas in approximately 3 hours. Checking our League of Legends Server Status page is a great method to stay up to date on server outages due to patch deployment or other issues.
The first round of balancing adjustments in League 11.17 focuses on Amumu, with the aim of improving the champion’s MMRs. The latest modifications in testing, according to Lead Game Designer Jeevun Sidhu, are the result of a “quite significant” performance difference.

- New: There are now two charges, each with a 14-second recharge time.
- Damage was reduced from 80/130/180/230/280 to 70/100/130/160/190.
- From 10/9.5/9/8.5/8, the cooldown has been reduced to 3.

- From 4/6/8/10/12 + 0.5/0.575/0.65/0.725/0.8 percent (+0.25 percent per 100 AP) targets max health to 6/8/10/12/14 + 0.5/0.575/0.65/0.725/0.8 percent (+0.25 percent per 100 AP) targets max health.
The Sad Mummy’s Curse (R):
- The length of the stun has been reduced from 1.5/1.75/2 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
11.17 LoL Changes in Rune Balance
Footwork on the Move (Precision Keystone)
- The efficacy of ranged healing from minions has dropped to 10% from 20%.
- Melee healing from minions now has a 30% success rate.
- From 30-60 (+30 percent bAD) (+20 percent AP), heal raised to 10-100 (+50 percent bAD) (+35 percent AP).
More changes are expected to be made to League 11.17’s PBE in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on it to see whether your main is on the chopping block.
