As usual, the Repopulation team had a lot on their plate in regards to new content for “The Repopulation 2” this month. The team has been working hard on the new map, adding a number of new structures and locations to the game, and reworking various objects and structures that have been reworked in previous builds.
Recently, the Repopulation team recreated the interior of a Minecraft mansion that they had built for a previous project. They decided that, rather than simply upload the original project in its entirety, they would take their recreation of the house and put it out in the open for everyone to see. The project proved to be very popular, with the team having to split their time between creating the furniture and answering viewer questions.
The Repopulation team is attempting to recreate over 1100 pieces of furniture from throughout the history of gaming, by recreating models, textures, models and animations from early games, as well as by including furniture from both ambitious and less ambitious games. The furniture that we have recreated for this project can be seen on the Repopulation wiki; some of the more impressive pieces include: The Captain’s chair from the SimCon L33T simulator, the altar from the first Skyrim game, llamas from the Myst series, and a guest room from the Star Trek: The Next Generation game..
